TransACT ParentNotices published a free resource to support school districts in keeping our communities informed, healthy, and safe on September 1st, 2020. As the holiday season often includes travel, we want to highlight the complimentary COVID-19 letter template for state and local education agencies, schools, and out-of-school-time programs.
TransACT Communications, a leader in providing school districts and state departments of education with guidance and resources to support authentic parent and family engagement in compliance with federal law, also provides resources for parent communication related to pertinent, urgent current events. Our "Free Public Letters" and "Letter Templates" are available to educators, regardless of their subscription status with TransACT® ParentNotices.
The COVID-19 letter template was created with guidance from state and local administrators and translated by highly qualified K12 industry translators (just like all the notices available in the TransACT ParentNotices collections). This letter template is available in English and 8 additional languages to enable effective communication with the broader community and more equitable access to critical information about the pandemic for limited-English proficient persons. It includes blank, customizable fields for schools or districts to complete with important contact information and school or district website links. Following the important contacts section is information for parents and community members on seven topics in a question and answer format.
