TransACT Communications, the leader in parent engagement compliance, is proud to announce that Executive Director for Federal Compliance and State Relationships, Dr. David Holbrook, will serve as a policy adviser for the Ellevation Advisory Board. In this role, which is the first of its kind at Ellevation, Dr. Holbrook will help the Ellevation ELL community understand the impact of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015 on the work of English Language Learner (ELL) educators and their students.
“ESSA has created a shift in the way local and state education agencies support and serve English learner students and families.” said Dr. Holbrook. “I am looking forward to working with Ellevation to support the ELL community in clearly understanding how changes under ESSA, particularly the opportunity to collaborate between Title I and Title III at the state and local level, can have a positive impact on learning outcomes for our students.”
“It’s hard to imagine someone better prepared to serve as our policy adviser,” said Teddy Rice, President and Co-Founder of Ellevation. “Dr. Holbrook adds valuable expertise to our team, and we look forward to his contributions.”
Ellevation is a software company focused exclusively on ELLs and the educators who serve them. Their data management, compliance and instructional platform is used by over 650 school districts to streamline program management, enable effective collaboration, and differentiate classroom instruction.
